In line with our mission, PeakCare undertakes special projects in addition to its ongoing work. These are our current projects:
Child Protection Community Education Project 2010
Our objective was to create a community development model that considered professional development in the area of child protection for allied professionals who may not consider child protection their core business, yet who interact on a regular basis with child protection issues, agencies and services.
The Staff Attraction and Retention Project
The Staff Attraction and Retention Project was developed to raise discussion about workforce development issues in the non-government child and family services sector in the context of the National Framework.
Culture Matters
Culture Matters is a consultation process to obtain feedback on the ability of child protection services to meet the needs of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) children and families. Read More
Deep Change Solutions
Deep Change Solutions is an innovative consultancy service to be established to assist thousands of struggling small NGOs in establishing robust and sustainable organisational and business management systems. Read more
G-Force
G-Force is a high level workgroup of the Child Protection Partnership Forum, chaired by the CREATE Foundation. It aims to increase the participation of young people in decision making, through discussions that directly influence policy and practice. Read more
Planning & Partnerships
The Planning & Partnership Program was created to strengthen partnership between the government and non-government sectors, to better address strategic and local level service gaps in the child protection system and to help support a more responsive and integrated approach to child safety issues. Residential Care Model
PeakCare partnered with Department of Communities (Child Safety) in the consultation and preparation of a report detailing the Contemporary Model of Residential Care for Queensland children and young people. Read more
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
PeakCare has embarked on the reconciliation journey to frame its dialogue around the implementation of the guiding principles for childrens wellbeing and protection within Indigenous communities. Read More
What Works Matters
This project, in conjunction with Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Care Peak (QATSICCP), focuses on successful capacity building within Indigenous organisations and communities and PeakCare members. Read More
Transition from Care Project
The Transition from Care Project is a joint initiative of G-Force, CREATE Foundation and PeakCare involving state wide research with child protection workers and carers.
